I read such a wide range of genres. I think I mostly read to learn. So, I tend to read a lot in the Religion/Spirituality genre but I also read a lot of "How To" books. I think when I read to escape then I prefer Romance novels.

I almost exclusively read books to learn so they tend to be fact books.

You can learn a lot about the world from fiction as well! 
I also read non-fiction as well. Im interested in political, environmental and historical books!

#3: Yes, sure, but it usually takes longer to learn how to, for instance, program Swift from a fiction book than from Swift for Dummies. :-)
